Richard Conner, Holt Gwyn, and Jim Schenck began practicing construction law together in the early 1980s. In 1999, they formed the boutique construction law firm Conner Gwyn Schenck PLLC to focus on serving the construction industry. The firm has grown significantly in its 20+ years.

Conner Gwyn Schenck PLLC is a full-service construction law firm.  We focus on construction-industry clients and construction and environmental issues. The firm’s emphasis is on dispute resolution, project-level services, including project delivery and contract documents. Although best known for our construction claims litigation services and dispute resolution, the firm also provides transactional and corporate services, including leasing and financing, divestitures and continuation plans, and serves as outside corporate counsel or as local support to in-house corporate counsel. The firm regularly represents clients in matters of professional and trade contractor licensing, OSHA citations, land use regulation, and environmental compliance.

Conner Gwyn Schenck PLLC is unique in the construction law arena with numerous dual-degree attorneys in the firm. Hank Jarrett has a degree in civil engineering and worked as a city engineer prior to attending law school. Drew Chapin also began his professional career as a civil engineer and maintains his professional engineer license. Tim Wyatt is a licensed professional engineer and a Ph.D. in civil (geotechnical) engineering. The firm’s interest and experience in the construction industry has led it to provide legal services addressing public policy. Conner Gwyn Schenck attorneys regularly comment upon proposed legislation and regulatory revisions for clients and industry groups. Our firm embraces public service work for the construction industry.
